This old lullaby, sung by a mother whose husband is away at sea, was one of the many which Robert Burns collected and published, sometimes with his own embellishments. The tune itself alternates between a relaxed lullaby feeling and a contrasting dotted rhythm “B section.” This arrangement is for harp with either French horn or cello.

Intermediate skill, no levers or pedals.

“O Can Ye Sew Cushions" is playable on lever harps with a range from two octaves below middle C to the G an octave above the staff.  No lever changes.

Duration: 2+ minutes. The arrangement is set in such a way that repeats to some sections may be added to extend the length, if desired.
